1. Scope of Services

Veritas Istanbul operates as an independent authentication, asset verification, physical examination, and brokerage service provider based in Istanbul, Turkiye.

• Our services include evaluating, verifying, and issuing reports on high-value assets, antiques, precision tools, and luxury collectibles.

• We act as an independent intermediary or escrow facilitator between buyers and sellers to ensure transparency, but we do not inherently take ownership of third-party assets unless explicitly stated in a separate written consignment agreement.

2. User Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use our Services and request verifications or engage in transactions.

• When you create an account or submit an inspection request, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Fees, Payment, and Non-Refundable Policy

• All fees for authentication, inspection, physical examination, and brokerage services must be paid in accordance with the pricing and terms presented at the time of order placement.

• All inspection, verification, and expert fees are strictly non-refundable once the authentication or examination process has commenced or been completed, regardless of the final outcome of the verification report.

4. Final Sale and No-Return Policy on Physical Goods

Due to strict international luxury commerce standards, local regulatory frameworks, and complex Turkish customs procedures regarding regulated items, collectibles, and specialty artifacts:

• All physical sales and transactions finalized through our platform are final.

• Standard consumer returns, exchanges, or chargebacks for physical items shipped internationally are strictly not accepted, as returned shipments trigger severe customs, security clearance, and legal restrictions under Turkish law.

5. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

• Our authentication and examination reports represent the professional opinions and technical evaluations of our experts based on standard industry practices at the time of inspection.

• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Veritas Istanbul, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services or reliance on any verification report.

6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkiye. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Istanbul, Turkiye.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes.
